Somatics is a gentle yet powerfully effective therapeutic movement practice that works to re-pattern your breathing muscles. It is suitable for all fitness levels from people living with chronic pain right through to high-end athletes - improving movement potential and performance, regardless. During the workshop, we’ll use gentle Somatics movements to re-pattern your breathing muscles, and teach you how to continue this work as a home practice. The resulting effect will be increased oxygen uptake, facilitating some of these benefits: - improved brain power- increased energy and general performance- an upswing in emotional and mental health- improved lung function- strengthening respiratory and immune system- reduce stress and high blood pressure- greater mental alertness and clarity- relaxation and calming an anxious mind- helpful for insomnia- improved breath awareness in Yoga and Meditation practice The Somatics workshops will include handouts to assist your ongoing home practice.
